Sunday July 4, 2004. WPYM-FM 93.1 "4th of July Bash." Peacock Park, Coconut Grove, FL. - U.S.A. Just coming out of my little vacation at the "Big House Resort," I rented a booth at this event. I was a little more organize than the last event in Detroit. I had some nice displays, more products, and my Oxygen Bar, which I tried to use, but we had no power.
I flew down from Boston my little brother, Guillermo, and my little sister, Estefania, to help me out. Tracie came down as well with Coby. During the day it was really hot so it really wasn't packed. Peacock Park was really a bad choice for this event. It's a baseball field, when it got packed at night people started dancing, it was like "Woodstock" revived from all the sand, and the humidity combined.
It was a pretty good time. There were great DJ's spinning live but they saved the best for last. The man himself, Paul Van Dyk, spinning LIVE in the one's and two's. The fireworks display was AMAZING! I'm looking forward for next year's 4th of July Bash but if it's at the same location I really doubt I would go.
